Saw Pulp again on Friday night and they were brilliant, again.

Next up: All Points East festival in Victoria Park, Hackney at the end of August. The Strokes, Yeah Yeah Yeahs and The Walkmen amongst those playing.

Got nothing for the next couple of weeks but seeing Angel Olsen, Snail Mail and The Aces (all at The Mill in Digbeth) and Thus Love at Coventry Library towards the end of August.

Just booked Tool for next May at Resorts World, being supported by Night Verses. They're playing dates in Manchester and London as well if anyone's interested.

Clapton next May. Hoping for an outing from Jeff Lynne next year after he reformed the live band for a San Diego charity show last week, but it seems that is unlikely.

thought about tool tickets but a) they're extortionate and b) I just can't imagine seeing them in an all seater stadium. Seated gigs are shite.

This is despite them being probably my favourite band

Saw them last year Chamonix at the same venue, I'm no fan of seated gigs either but for a band like Tool it was fine, they were incredible.
