The input delay from controller to server always made this an absolute waste of time.
I got RE8 as a birthday present from work yesterday. Installed this morning and had an hour on it at lunch, very enjoyable, got to the castle proper after escaping being captured.

Nearly cleared out the castle, my routing has been shocking but I’m still learning my way around. Got 2 rooms with some items I’m missing but masks are in place for the Lady D boss fight, but that’s for tomorrow…

RE8 done. Dolls house was creepy till the stupid baby turned up which was laughable. 100% worth an immediate replay.

Yeah, play something else... it gets no better and the deaths start to feel cheap. I got to the third boss, but the slog to get back to it everytime became an utter chore. Also since you'll end up with different guns to other players tips are hard to give... I know there are some beasts of guns, but losing them and then not getting them for loads of runs really does get tired.

Yeah I gave up on Returnal around the third level. As you said, it stopped being fun after a while.
Scorn out on Xbox GP next week looks interesting. Should tide me over for a couple of weeks ahead of the new God of War next month.

So I recently finished Immortality, which is by the fella that did "Her Story" and "Telling Lies" if you like that type of thing it's well worth invsesting time in and a proper mind fuck!
Now halfway through As Dusk Falls which is considerably better than all those "Walking Dead" comic book story type games that came out a while back
I'm also chipping away at Stray on the PS5 and about 75% of the way through, very good platform/puzzle game if a tad easy

The baby creeped the fuck out of me!
Only but I didn’t enjoy was the Chris section which suddenly turned the game into COD.

Well 28 deaths later and still haven't beaten the 1st boss. I thought the soulsborn games were frustrating but this is something else lol.
