I am actually incredulous that Durham Police are now going to investigate Keir Starmer. All this does is illustrate how ridiculous Lockdown rules were in the first place - particularly in the light of the WHO study into excess deaths released today.

is this really worth spending time and money on?

This is going to end up with Gurkha veterans being fined over a dinner with MPs, isn't it.

That said, if Starmer is fined he has to resign.

I take it you're not serious.

Well, I don't think the Gurkha's and MPs at that event will be fined much as I don't think Starmer will be fined as I don't see how either broke the rules, but I am entirely serious that if Starmer is fined he has to resign.

Problem comes with the nuance of it all being ignored - Boris getting a cake (meh), Starmer having a beer with the canvassers during election (meh), Boris having a karaoke party and sniffing coke of Nadine's buttcheeks when Dom is out the door is another matter.

I agree on the resignation, not the Gurkha dinner.

If he did, where would that put Johnson and the Conservatives.

Not a good look for Starmar. Spent months criticising Boris for sitting outside with cheese and wine. While he's been inside with beer and curry. Should have just kept his gob shut.

Probably laughing at the bloke who spent months making capital out of things like zoom call quizes and outdoor meetings having to resign for socialising indoors.
I'm still confused as to how Angela Rayner didn't know she was at the "work meeting" when she has spent months cricising Boris for not knowing he was at a party.
