its virtually walking distance from mine but i've never bothered going. Can't say I've heard about it being unfriendly down there, what is the story there? Usually non league clubs are more friendly than league in my experience.
It's a short walk for me too but I don't bother. For years it's been run by a bunch uncivil to outsiders. I've been to private celebrations, even a funeral there and every time they can't wait to get you out. Just my experience, although I've also heard others say the same.

The games are OK, it's in the clubhouse bar later you get the cold shoulder.

Why does that matter? Are we only allowed to write about things that we do or attend ourselves?

It's an historic day for Albion Women tomorrow when they play at The Hawthorns for the very first time, with the opponents being second-placed Derby.

Last weekend, Albion were knocked out of the 5th Round of the FA Cup, losing 4-2 to the higher-division Coventry Utd, and then were narrowly beaten 1-0 by fourth-placed Nottingham Forest in the week, so they'll be wanting to get things back on track and give a good account of themselves tomorrow.

They've sold over 1,000 tickets so far. Entry is £5 for adults and £1 for under-18s. Kick-off is at 2.00pm.

Fans can park on the East Stand and Birmingham Road car parks on a first-come, first-served basis. Presumably that's for free, but it isn't stated.

I hope the Albionesses get a win in their inaugural Hawthorns match.

24 years since I saw an official women's game at the shrine.

Watched Villa-Brighton this morning (good match) and saw something I'd never seen before at football - a pram parked at the side of the pitch!
