Albion Women's Thread

After a poor 2-1 defeat to Loughborough last week, Albion are in action again on Sunday in the semi-final of the County Cup. We're at home (Coles Lane, Sutton Coldfield ko 2.00pm) to Stourbridge.

Although Stourbridge play 2 tiers lower than us, they're an excellent side at that level and will be tough opponents.

Why does that matter? Are we only allowed to write about things that we do or attend ourselves?

Particularly when, judging by a recent thread, half this bored are far too busy and important to actually go to a football match.

I'd be tempted but Coles Lane is the single most unhospitable club in this universe. How they eke out a living while being so consistently unfriendly has puzzled me for many years. There are some decent pubs nearby though.

Albion have beaten Stourbridge 4-0 in the semi-final of the County Cup this afternoon in dire conditions with goals from Dugmore (2), Walklett and Mahmood.

In the final we will play.......drum roll please......Wolves!

Date and venue tbc.

It doesn't matter at all no. I was just asking what I thought was a fairly straightforward question.

So did you go or not, and if you did was it an enjoyable experience and would you recommend it to others?

No I didn't go. I just think that it's good to follow the fortunes of the women's team as well as the men's, as both represent West Bromwich Albion.

Cheers for the answer. I didn't go either. Good for you and all of the very best as you follow them from afar. I still won't be going to see them either.

its virtually walking distance from mine but i've never bothered going. Can't say I've heard about it being unfriendly down there, what is the story there? Usually non league clubs are more friendly than league in my experience.
