The Brexit debate is a classic example of how all nuance has been lost. How many times do we see some imply brexiteers must be racist or thick or that remainers are somehow traitors to this country?

Then Jenny Harries refers to the ‘very high death toll’ - that’s the same one Javid just called ‘mercifully low’.

Apparently approximately  1000 deaths per week from Covid is ‘mercifully low… I’m pretty sure a Health Secretary’s job is to keep us safe! Perhaps I’m being old fashioned!
