The Wire, for me, is the best tv series ever. A nose ahead of Sopranos. I gave up on Breaking Bad.  Currently on episode 6 of The Serpent, very good. I'm mainly watching music on iplayer or Sky Arts, there is some truly amazing stuff out there. During the last lockdown I connected up the dvd and watched the boxed set of the 2005 Ashes, leaping around the front room like an idiot.

Agree. I went over to Baltimore, just because of it.

I’ve been recommended it as I spend (well did) quite a lot of time in Belfast, but would appreciate anyone’s views before kicking it off.

How was Baltimore? It looks quite distinctive with the English style terraces and harbour front.

The Fall is superb as is Spiral. Last season (8 or 9) currently being aired. Braquo is another excellent French series.

better call saul is much better than breaking bad. bb would have been much better without series 5

3 out of the 5 series of the wire are fantastic. once again series 5 especially came close to ruining it.

boardwalk empire is brilliant in places especially first 2 series and any scene with gyp rosetti or al capone in.

sopranos though is still the yardstick for anything in my opinion.

Season 8 - the last one ever - is on now, and is as good as any of the previous. Work your way through it,  you won't be disappointed.

Got to say Nothing comes close to sopranos ..ozark good ,spriral the french drama pretty good ,but SOPRANOS hands down ..if you have not watched it ..during this lock down its a must

I agree, The Fall is another good watch, even though I found the 2 main characters quite unlikeable
