Total number of Covid deaths below 60 with no pre-existing condition: 367 (1,911 in total).

They are not sourceless - they are directly from the NHS.

Thanks, I didn't see a source when he posted.

I think we both know that non NHS settings are in the majority of cases care homes where I doubt there are many under 60's residing.

And 25% of cases are acquired by patients already in hospital being treated for other illnesses.

This is another figure I have seen bandied around but haven't seen any facts behind it - where is it from Proth?

I agree but it still doesn't tell us what we should do with the knowledge that the majority of people that die from this (there are plenty impacted in other ways btw, let's not forget that) are over 60.

I've had a look Proth and it appears to be a guestimate figure - https://fullfact.org/health/coronavirus-...hospitals/

There is a lot of misinformation going around and until they get to testing everyone on admission then unfortunately its difficult to prove either way. I think would be foolish to suggest that no infections are acquired in hospital settings and in fact likely that that does occur, but there is a big difference in getting Covid and dying from it, which looks like a minimal impact on the overall death (or excess death) figures.

Another truck load of folks in T4 from Boxing Day and a second new strain from South Africa that is even more mutated and transmissible than the last.

Merry Christmas.

Does the vaccine work for this version too?

Should do.

It's an mRna vaccine so small mutations don't stop it working.
