There was a story going around at the time that he got involved with a full on fight with one of his players, Troy Deeney IIRC, in the dressing room at half time days before his departure. No idea how true this was.

After initial 4 wins in 6 Pearson went on a 1 win in 10 run with 7 losses in those plus FA cup loss to Tranmere. Seen managers go for less at Watford.

True, but hoofing the manager out with only one week and two games left when you’re still in with a shot of survival is utter madness.
