Spent the last few weeks playing through the Mario 3D Allstars collection on the Switch. A few thoughts:

Mario 64 - Hasn’t aged as well as I thought. Severely clunky and difficult to control when you’re used to modern games, needs a remaster. Did 70 of the 120 stars before giving up.

Mario Sunshine - A lot more fun than I remember, playing with the water gun never got old. Missions were a bit fiddly though. Did 113 of the 120 but can’t be arsed trawling through the game for the last few coins.

Mario Galaxy - Still a masterpiece, although a lot easier than I remember. 95 stars in and will get all 120.

I love the Mario games.

My nephew is playing Mario 64 on his Switch. It's weird to see him play a game that I played when I was his age.

I loved Mario Galaxy on the Wii, don't think I ever completed it though.

Got the Xbox Series X on preorder, tempted by the fridge too. <winkything>

Just discovered something called Mortal Shell, it's a bit Dark Souls, but also a touch different. If you're a gaming masochist give it a whirl!

Galaxy 2 was even better, one of the best video games ever made. Disappointed they didn’t include it in the collection.

Well done on managing to get an X preordered!

I just went straight for the S. My Xbox Elite is about 5 years old now, so I'll massively appreciate the update to the speed! Plus I can't fork out for a 4k monitor as well at the moment Big Grin

Does anyone have any ideas for a PS4 (download from PS Store) game for a 6 year old, that is 2 X playable with adults??

Edit: I have street fighter - but I doubt a 6 year old is going to get it.

Rocket League?

I seem to have plateaued at Gold II.
In the form of his life.

I was lucky, but it ain't turned up yet, guess I'll find out on the 10th.

Need a TV update myself, not got 4k TV currently, so no HDR, so it has been a bit of waste me using it with Xbox X. Series X will be even worse. Roll on Black Friday Smile
