So Brentford are replacing Watkins before selling him. Sensible by them. Makes me wonder if Toney was ever a real target. Surely he'd have opted for a Prem move if money was on the table.

Shame as I thought Toney would have been worth the punt and also looking longer term in case we got relegated.

Last summer the club had prepared a list of players to go for:  unfortunately that most assumed we got promoted and the club had to hastily prepare a second list.

But fear not.  This year the club, having learnt from their mistake made 2 lists of players to go for, one if we got promoted and the other if we didn’t.

So, once we’ve exhausted the players on the promotion list this window, we can move on to the second list and bring those players in this Summer so we are ready for 21/22.
