I didn't appear on any of the promo stuff for ITVs recent production The Village, in which I feature.

Is it because I is English?

I sincerely hope that Clarke wasn't omitted because of his skin tone.

To put him up as a name - and I would argue he is certainly one of the two/three most well known actors in the poster - and not include his photo is to say the least, bizarre. Not good.

Noel Clarke is the only name on there I know.

He’s also a brilliant actor.

Strange that it took him two years to bother him.

Agree he's a decent actor

No idea why he was left out maybe it was a mistake?

Could it be as simple as that?

Rather something to do with racism

Cannot really understand why he’s in a film about a load of bearded singing fishermen in Cornwall to be honest, I mean you wouldn’t cast Jethro in Gangs Of London would you???

A non-story in my opinion and certainly not racist. If you look at the poster, it features Daniel Mays, who plays the main character in the film, and Tuppence Middleton who plays the love interest. Her character is the daughter of the Fisherman's Friends member in the middle and the other three are also members of Fisherman's Friends. The film is literally about them so they are central players even if relatively unknown actors. Clarke plays a colleague of the Daniel Mays character who travels down to Cornwall on a stag do at the start of the film. He is not really central to the plot of the film and there would be no reason for him to appear on a poster.

Ironically, the fact he is one of the more famous names is what causes the issue here - the list of names at the top says "and Noel Clarke" and this is obviously included simply for name recognition - the poster is in fact paying him a compliment by including his name so he's got the wrong end of the stick in my opinion as I assume he wouldn't complain if his name had not been featured.

Maybe he’s really short.

Daniel Mays is pretty famous I think?
