Any further updates?

Yeah, it's still not at 100,000

Is it possible that only 75k are requesting tests on a daily basis? As you said earlier, it's an arbitrary figure. All well and good having g capacity for 100k or even 200k a day, but if the demand for tests is less... A bit like these Nightingale hospitals that have barely been used.

Yes, it's also possible that only 75,000 actually meet the criteria for a test so only 75,000 are allowed to be tested, another reason why setting random arbitrary targets is stupid.

Criteria? There are so many people who need testing that they could test 200k a day. My better half has been told she can have a test but when she went on the app it said she didn't meet some criterion. They should just be testing as many as they can regardless

She's in the "essential worker" category, although not front line, who's been told she needs a test but the app says she can't have one because she doesn't meet the criterion. Barmy

A friend of mine that works in a care home where 12 residents have died waited over a week for her test result so they needed to test her again.

She received a positive test result yesterday but they couldn't tell her which test it was for.

Deathly chaos.

Three weeks ago, in my mother home, a gentleman showed symptoms on Monday evening. The whole home, residents and staff, were tested on the Thursday and given the results on the following Sunday. Nine confirmed cases. No deaths!
I find it hard to believe the wildly varying outcomes. In testing and virus.
