5700XT has been recommended to me the best bang for buck card out at the minute. Available for under £400 at the minute( link ) but hopefully there'll be some black friday deals about.

You might as well go for the 2060 and get the ability to use ray tracing.

It comes down to cost, I've got a £400 PC (all bought on special offers and is probably worth closer to £600) paid for with Amazon vouchers I've acquired over time, so have only spent about £30 of my own money on it, and I had a friend who worked at oculus so got a free SDK kit. If I can add a compatible graphics card for next to nothing I'll be laughing!

It’s so big the first release only covers the Midgar stuff. It’s going to be years before that game is completely finished.

I’m actually fine with that, if it’s done as well as it looks it’s a lifetime of enjoyment.

Deluxe edition already preordered. Guy at Game was trying to say he was a bigger fan than me (jokingly and friendly, I know the staff there quite well), until I showed him my ff7 tattoo.... I can't wait for March.

Spaffed myself at the announcement of Baldur's Gate 3 as well. BG2 remains the best game ever

I need a new GFX card, my 970 is creaking... Metro Exodus at 1440p is killing it, it's the first game I've had to drop down to medium just to get it smooth... Been looking at the RTX 2070 Supers, but they're damn expensive...

I tried the re-release of the BG games (as I love them when they originally came out) have to say some memories are better than the reality!
Amd 5700 xt is the answer still not cheap at 400 quid but handles 1440p in its stride.

Saw a 2070 Super at £469.... I just can't justify it though, paid £230 I think for this 970 and it's lasted me years...coil whine is getting to be a thing now though! I did consider ordering a 2070 Super from America, on the surface they look about £100 less, but apparently you get hit for duty when they reach customs Sad

Bought the original for my Switch recently. Going to finish it again before the new one launches.
