Given the huge change around of personnel from top to bottom and the huge blow that was how last season ended I think are in as good shape as we could have hoped. From what i understand Rogers was sold to help us fund Bilic and his wider staff. As gutted as I was at the time, I can see why we did what we did if that was the reality of the choice in front of us.
If Hegazi stays fit when he returns and we can start being a bit more clinical then all looks pretty rosy.

We made enough to afford Bilic on a 2 year deal. How many backroom staff did he bring? 2? Also Rogers was sold after we brought in Bilic. Rogers could potentially be worth £30m+

Or he could be worth fuck all, like a lot of these kids will when they never play competitive football (09-14-2019, 04:41 PM)Super_Slav Wrote:(09-14-2019, 04:27 PM)HeathAyIt Wrote: Given the huge change around of personnel from top to bottom and the huge blow that was how last season ended I think are in as good shape as we could have hoped. Worth noting as well that we’ve already gone away to Forest, Derby and Fulham so far and come away with five points from those games.

He’s the real deal as is Jude Bellingham who will go on to become an absolute superstar

No offence mate but I think I’ve watched enough youth team football to know Bellingham and Rogers will (providing they continue to develop and stay away from major injuries) receive full England honours

IMO duffers is odds on favourite with that one. If you have seen as much youth team football as you claim, you would realise how silly your predictions are.
