If you look at it the other way though you might be looking for a new job soon if that's the only way they can make a profit?

The reality is for a lot of customer service since Covid has got worse. You ring and eventually get through to a person, they can’t help so you ask if you can speak to a manager or be put through to another department and it’s a no or takes an eternity.

There are certain points of the day when trying to get answers to any query becomes nigh on impossible as people pop out to do some shopping, pick the kids up etc. It suits the worker but in many cases leaves the client/customer receiving a poorer service and what took a few minutes takes a day to sort out.
I'm fairly certain call centres and getting hold of someone who could actually deal with your issue was a complete farce and a nightmare well before COVID and the WFH era.

Yep. We've got rid of absolutely no call centre staff and they all work hybrid as there's a little thing called VOIP that's been around for about 30 years...
