As said above it's a gamble. They won't hire anyone like Bruce, Irvine etc or anyone that doesn't fit in with the way they want the club run. That leaves a bunch of managers on a list based on a criteria no one outside the club knows but, can only guess at.
I'm sure they have learned a lot from this situation with CC and will be better prepared next time.
Based on the above I don't mind who's appointed.

Totally agree with what you say I think Dyche is also a no go, I would love Cooper or Rohl to arrive as I think this is the way Nester and Bikul want us to play. Must admit Mowbray is a good fit and he’s an excellent coach and after listening to his interview with Slaven he is well up for the job if his health allows. But as you said whoever comes in it will be a gamble but all appointments are.

Are we abandoning this just because we couldn't get Wicky? Or will the likes of Mowbray / Eustace / whoever fit into the head coach structure?

Just not comfortable with us lurching from one approach to the other, if that's what we're actually doing.

Let's face it we haven't had a real sporting director since Dan Ashworth left. Ian Pearce is a scout. What does Nestor know about the role?

Oh and I'd forgotten about Mr Dolmio.

I’d say Mr Nestor knows the role very well. See below….

Andrew has built an extensive career in sport, beginning more than 15 years ago when he revived the Tampa Bay Rowdies, serving as President, CEO and General Manager, which included overseeing all player and coaching recruitment, and led to them winning the 2012 NASL championship in just their third season.

He was also a key player in the takeover by the current owners of Italian side Bologna FC 1909, who were relegated from Serie A prior to the change in ownership. Andrew initially oversaw operational transformation across sporting and commercial departments as the team secured an immediate return to top-flight by winning the Serie B 2014-15 play-off final. Andrew spent two seasons as a Bologna FC 1909 director and has acted as an advisor for several other professional teams and ownership groups across the Americas and European football.

There are some posters who know nothing about Nester, because they don’t read. If they would look it up they would find he has quite an extensive cv when it comes football as Ronnie has shown above.
But of course some can only knock and find fault at present, because things aren’t being done at the pace they require with the addition of our new manager/ coach. Whoever is appointed some will find fault with, but me I will give them my full backing.

I can read perfectly well. So far he's done fuck all, when (if) he does show his chops then it'll be reacharround's left right and centre. I'll even let you join in, as I know in your heart of hearts the club could never do anything wrong and that is the hill you will die on. You probably still have a poster of Gooch Lai on your bedroom wall.

He's ok, as long as his #2 is Sans Serif!
