Just watched Anatomy of a Fall. Rare that I stay awake watching a long film but this was absolutely riveting.

We just finished Griselda, Sofia Vergara made to look dowdy, but most excellently done. Now getting the Mrs into Narcos after she quite enjoyed Griselda.

That's one of  five that's been recommended to me , I've got last two episodes of One Day to watch first

  last night I settled down to watch the last 2 episodes of One Day before starting Griselda when a notice popped up to let me know I wasn't signed in to Netflix, after a phone call to my daughter today it seems as I'm not in her household I can no longer use her subscription grrr. Looks like phone call to VM tomorrow to get my own!

3 Body Problem on the Netflix. Now, I have read Three Body Problem series, it is going to be extremely difficult to transfer this to visual medium, however the first two episodes do generally capture the initial start of getting the story going. It'll be very interesting to see how they handle various aspects of the books, if they go that far, I'm taking they are concentrating on Three-Body Problem first and seeing if it takes well to sci-fi audiences, clearly they done several artistic licences with characters and locations and such, but it's intriguing to see the take on it. Brad Pitt is a producer btw, and I've read they had a mini-science / physicists team involved on the project.

Finished 3 Body Problem tonight. The hardcore sci-fi amongst us will percerver with it. Its not like the books, but the general plot is,  as I mentioned before it'd be extremely difficult to put across what's in the books on TV without meaning to them. In general though it is good and Netflix appear to have really backed it. There will be a few more series yet.

Now, I have read Three Body Problem series, it is going to be extremely difficult to transfer this to visual medium, however the first two episodes do generally capture the initial start of getting the story going. Go for it. If you like your sci-fi, and especially Chinese sci-fi - which has made some cracking stuff and come on leaps and bounds in the last 15/20 years (the stuff that gets translated) IMO. I read recently the audio books are good quality too, but I have not partaken, yet.

Star Trek: Discovery - Season 5, landed on Paramount+ on Prime today, two episodes. They'll get smashed through tonight, I'm sure.

Finished the first series of Slow Horses the other night after hearing many people rave about it. It was entertaining enough in the same way that other generic cop/anti terrorism shows like Line of Duty and 24 were, but nothing to set it apart from similar shows I thought.

There's a Talented Mr Ripley adaptation on Netflix starring Andrew Scott that I might look at over the weekend.
