Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid is one of my all time favourite fillums. When Sundance asks about the pursuing posse "How many are following us?" and Butch replies, "All of 'em," is IMO one of those great cinematic lines, Katherine Ross is absolutely gorgeous in the film as indeed are Paul Newman and Robert Redford, with Burt Bacharachs "Raindrops Keep falling on my head" and that final scene! They don't make them like that anymore.

RIP Robert

RIP Robert.

Three Days of the Condor is absolutely top-notch. One of a raft of paranoid conspiracy thrillers in the early 70’s and probably the best. Faye Dunaway also nearly gets her kit off.
Aaah, the halcyon days where that was enough.

Arf! Exactly!

Remember Butch Cassidy so well as a kid and the ending especially. Loved the Sting too and he was brilliant in All the presidents men with Hoffman.

I also liked The Last Castle - was a complete box office flop despite some very good actors, and was loosely based on a true story.

Really enjoyed the way they tried to match up Gandolfini and Redford as similar ages despite RR being about 30 years older than him!

I only watched The Natural a couple of weeks ago. He had a great presence on screen.
