Correct, or at least Maja plays half the game ?

It’s chicken and egg, he clearly doesn’t look match fit, but he isn’t going to build his fitness up only getting 5 minutes at the end of every match.

In general I agree, but when a team is coming for a point and sitting back, we’re less likely to score early on until the game opens up in the second half. Bores me to tears but this is what teams are going to do to us.

Gossip is that Maja has fitness issues which have to be handled carefully. Of course if he's always on the bench, he'll stay fit....

Let's not forget though Fellows created a number of Maja's goals. It's not certain he'll be anywhere near as prolific now.

I do get your point though.

When he came on in the cup he clearly wasn’t fit and was blowing out his arse just walking up to take the penalty.

That was a month ago, things should have improved by now.

In some ways it's a bit of a compliment to us that teams still see us as an away game where they're happy to take a point.

We do need to find a consistent way to break teams down at home, however. I still maintain we do create chances and it's not as barren as is being made out, but we do need to be more creative at home, if we can.

It's more of a tweak that's needed than something more revolutionary. Maybe it's confidence, maybe it's the fact players are still getting used to each other, maybe it's the fact we had an international break and we had Mepham, Styles, Price, Johnston, Heggebø all playing minutes for their nations. I'm not sure how many players Derby had away on internationally duty, but that would have had an impact. We didn't look as 'at it' yesterday from the off, and I suspect we were leggy due to the international break.

Or at least the last 30 mins. I can only assume Maja isn't (or doesn't appear to Mason to be) equally as fit as Heggebo at the mo.
