Yes, on that basis I fully agree. I'm pretty sure our great run under Carlos started to tail off last season once Phillips and Diangana got injured and we no longer had the same level of attacking options to change things throughout each game.

Grady seems to be the sort of player who thrives with decent players around him. It’s no coincidence his best form was in the same midfield that had Periera.

He can probably make a great team better, but not an average team great. I think if there was a very good player in there still we’d have seen more than just glimpses of it by now; it’s a shame but it won’t harm either party should he move on.

This - other teams know about him and mark accordingly which takes away his threat. When there is more that one mobile star player, e.g. when we had Perreria, then he gets more space to operate. If the opposition have the option of marking him or swift for example then he gets nullified.
