Having your cake and eating it (or not)

Years back, a lad I worked with had a holiday apartment on the Costa Del Sol, he let work colleagues rent it quite cheap. Mrs Ministry and myself took him up, had a nice week for £200 or so.
Before we went, the bloke bought me a set of keys, told me about places to go etc. He told me that
Just up the road was a nice, expensive restaurant, `Don Pedros` or whatever. He went in one evening, celebrating his wifes birthday or something. An alleged comedian from Liverpool, a big friend of Bruce Forsyth, and a keen golfer came in with 3 or 4 mates, ordered Gin & Tonics, then a seafood platter, some San Miguels, and chilled wine etc. After finishing, they
got up to leave, the waiter said `Senor, your bill`, he basically said `Don`t you know who I am, I`m a star on British T.V, you don`t expect me to pay ?` From what the apartment owner said, the restaurant manager said` You are not a star on Spanish T.V, pay or I call the police.

He said he was really interested in our work and would be happy to take us on if we became official partners of the club at a cost of £50,000.

I had a similar experience with Arsenal a few years back.  And also with that snidey arsehole Gordon Taylor at the  PFA

Cilla Black was always a bit of a cunt.

RIP, though.

No need for that, as if Cilla was a golfer. Not nasty by all accounts either.

I don't think I've ever heard anyone say that Cilla Black was anything other than a nasty piece of work before. She always comes up in discussions about rude and obnoxious celebrities and was largely disliked by anyone who had to deal with her.

She was just a Scouser. It sort of goes with the territory.

My Dad had a few dealings with Cilla in his time at ITV, he was never complimentary.

Always said Des O'Connor was a right bastard too.

My missus had dealings with Des and would agree with your assessment.  We should have a celebrity-cunt-list thread!

back in the day we hired William Woollard from Tomorrow's World to do some work for us.  Possibly the most arrogant man I have ever met.

We also hired Rory Bremner, who was absolutely charming and a complete gentleman.

Unsurprisingly Gregg Wallace is a complete cnut too. I know some people who worked at one of the factories he did his show at, (no not human meat), she said he was a complete arrogant arse, lovely on camera, as soon as they stopped rolling though it was diva time.
