Forward options...

Actually taking this one step further I don't think we are too far away now, squad wise.

I said att he end of the season we needed some oacey wide forwards, and a CM with goals in them.

We have signed 2 pacey wide players/forwards. And seem to have settled on Mowatt being the extra midfielder which CC must be okay with.

Now if we can move; Button and Chalobah on and get another more offensive CM (especially if TGH goes) that would do.

GK - Palmer, Griffith's

RB - Furlong, Ingram
CB - Ajayi, Bartley, Kipre, Taylor
LB - Townsend, Pieters

CM - Okay, Mowatt, Molumby, "NEW"
AM/W - Wallace, Sarmiento, Phillips, Grady, Swift

CF - BTA, Maja, Dike

Being extra greedy, if we could get another CB and loan Taylor out so he's fully ready to replace Bartley next year that would be sound, too.

Not for the next 4 months he’s not.

We really need a decent new CB otherwise I can see us conceding a lot and a RB to hopefully take the place of Furlong. People forget how poor we often were with most of these players at the back last season. We need another option than Swift for creativity in CM as he is hit and miss. Maja is welcome but ideally we want another CF maybe a target man like Moore (not Luke). This is assuming we don't lose any more key players which we might do.

All this is in an ideal world though not for a club in our situation.

I can't see us running with 4 CFs, so don't think we'll sign Moore, or any other CF now.

Swift is far from hit and miss. He consistently creates goal scoring chances and positively progresses the ball more than anyone in the top half of the pitch except Wallace. He may float in and out of games but his stats are consistently good.

Another RB would be lovely, but not priority, and I don't share everyone hatred for Darnell and have faith in Ingram after seeing him twice in pre season.

More legs and goals from CM is needed if TGH goes or doesn't progress though.

For all the players I reckon we'd ideally need we would have to get rid of a couple, I'd get rid of Ajayi if we could and get someone in to replace him but I don't think we will.

For me Furlong has been mediocre for a long time and at the very least needs some decent competition as he's virtually guaranteed a place however he plays at the
moment. We keep on postponing getting full back options in season after season.

We've either got to have more goals from midfield as you mention or a prolific CF
