Your favourite old ground and new ground

When Goodison goes, that'll be the end of an era.

Highfield Road or the Dell, proper grounds. Emirates is really impressive but the away ‘end’ is shite

Old: WHL. Can’t stand the club but it was a proper old school top flight ground.

New: Emirates. Done properly and not the usual identikit.

My favourite ground although the view from the away side is shocking. Actually, scrap that, I'll go for Hillsborough (perhaps rose tinted by our results there).  New grounds, I liked Bolton's, good and steep and not an identikit. Least favourite new ground, that West Ham one we're all still paying for. Terrible view, soul less, middle of nowhere.....

So many great old ones.

As for new ones, the only one I’ve thought was decent is Rotherham’s new one.

Upton Park, White Hart Lane a close second.

Emirates best new ground I've been to, but that new Spurs ground does look the dogs to be fair.

Most of the “new” grounds leave me cold. All identikit soulless bowls. That said I went to Allianz a few years ago and watched Bayern, that was pretty cool.

I agree re. new stadia.

Conversely, some of the old grounds were way, way past their best.

The Baseball Ground, and many others were just appalling.

Ayresome Park early 90's was virtually falling down.

People go on about intimidating grounds to go eg The Den, Elland Road etc.......Ayresome Park was a scary place to go to in my experience

Only went once. A midweek game 94ish. But it did have a reputation.
