Phil Jones is one.of the worst defenders in the league ever. Had potential but actually gone backwards. I'm not sure he'd improve Plymouth Argyle nowadays.

I used to watch him for Blackburn as a teenager (him, not me!)
He was sensational, especially in midfield.
I haven't seen anything of him recently (apart from snippets on motd), so it's hard to know, and I know he's had injuries.
I'd love him here. But we can't afford him.

Nowadays he's just awful.

Honestly he's finished as a player, how he jeeps getting contract renewals at Man Utd is beyond me.

That’s not actually true though is it?

Scored close to 20 goals in the Bundesliga in the 18/19 season and was then injured with a cruciate injury for all of 19/20... has played a handful of games this season and has scored in Europe... 

The other way to look at it is he’s a striker who averaged 1 in 2 in the German top flight and Europe before getting injured?

We’re adrift in the bottom 3 with no money, restricted to one British loan and unable to sign players from overseas anywhere near as easily as we used to... funnily enough we’re going to have to take a couple punts.
