There was a kid in the street named Malcolm when I was a nipper. Because I didn't know any other Malcolms I added Muggeridge to his name. It sounded more interesting. Plus, I didn't know his surname.

Unlike the real Malcolm Muggeridge, the faux Malcolm Muggeridge is still alive and working on the bins in Dudley.

I saw a "kid" I went to college with, who I haven't seen for 35 years or so and, affectionately, referred to him as "Clint" as that was all I could remember him as (Named after Clint Eastwood as he was a bit of a cowboy (trainee plumber). His mates just looked at him as if to say "Who the fuck's Clint" and I knew I'd set him up for some piss taking  Smile
