The match was played, and everyone went home safe and sound. The ideal outcome.
But instead, some zealots in thrall to another country are trying to bring down the West Midlands police and the media are cheering it on. Even the usual suspects on here are no longer quibbling about it, because WMP made the right call, the match would have clearly been a nightmare. It is an entirely concocted outrage.

Sickening pro-Pal, pseudo-pacifist “peace in our time” nonsense. Islamist politicians began agitating  before any practical considerations of the fixture were even discussed. Two of them sat on the SAG and should have recused themselves from the outset given their entrenched anti-Zionist views, (antisemitic) One of them is objectively corrupt, while one only recused themselves after the decision had already been stitched up. John Cotton effectively threw them under the bus at the Commons committee on Tuesday, admitting what everyone could already see. 

The pressure came from elements within the Islamic community and true to form, blame was dumped on Jews. The decision dragged the city into disrepute and showed that intimidation works. In the long run, this kind of bullshit doesn’t protect Muslims, it puts them at greater risk, increases division and damages trust in the police. Far from the ideal outcome. Guilford is a gibbering clown who should resign, if not he should be sacked

Once again I ask, why did we manage to get the game on but in Spain it’s behind closed doors?

Is there an even bigger conspiracy there?

Or is that we did the bets we could with the many considerations that had to be managed?

Or are the Spanish all anti-semitic now too?
