Same, loved S1&2 - The Christmas episode is one of the most intense pieces of television ever made - but S3 was such a drag I haven’t bothered going back for S4.
There were parts of s3 where I wasn’t even sure what I was watching anymore, pretty sure one episode was half hour video montage of Michelin starred food, got all a bit self indulgent. Watched the 4th series in the hope it could go back to the levels of the first 2, tbf it was decent enough, much better than s3 but not up to the standard of the first 2. I’d recommend it though if you’ve watched the first 3.
Will give the new Partridge a go next, not really heard much either way about it so will give it a go.
Only watched the first two episodes of the new Partridge, but it is good, the second one especially. People have been telling me it gets better as it goes on too.
