The PA are the sole Palestinian authority that is relevant to this decision, Hamas are not. I find the straw man of Hamas utterly pathetic in this conversation as it's solely brought up to detract from the actual decision.

Because the Israeli government has completely lost all leave of their senses, were offered an ultimatum in order to knock some sense into them and ignored it.
So they called our bluff and now we have nowhere left to go re negotiation?
