I'm not sure a striker does have to score goals, if they contribute in other ways and have a positive impact on the team performance, that's leads to others scoring goals.
It's comments like the above why I'd like to see him score a goal sooner than later, because people will use it to beat him with a stick, despite his excellent performances.
