She got so involved in the storyline that she has now bought all six books on audible
My life will therefore be full of long periods of silence. I've splashed out on a Bose headset for her to encourage her listening.

Not watching anything but Mrs Man remarked last eve that the worst film she had ever seen was The Girl with the Pearl Necklace.
I was relieved that she didn't say that in polite company.

I found them overlong and a bit silly to be honest, could've been cut to one episode what we've seen so far. Makes little sense that it's set 2 years before the Nostromo mission. The Nostromo's mission was only ten months long, which means people on Earth already knew about the Xenomorph and really shouldn't have been surprised. Also, how is it all of a sudden perfectly fine to zap it with electricity to incapacitate it?? Nobody ever tried that in any of the other movies, so it just feels daft.
Alien Universe addict here.
So in fact humans did know about the xenomorphs, that's even hinted at in Alien, hence the special orders to land and get a specimen to bring back (why Ash ignored quarantine etc). Alien.Earth actually helps explain why that's the case.
In the extended universe electricity has been used to stun them a lot, but it never lasts long, as they found out.
I really enjoyed the two episodes so far, glaf to see a proper killing machine alien rather than cannon fodder, and it's a brutal, messy killer this time which is always welcome.
I bloody hate it when they have to use stuff from made up expanded universe... Star Wars is doing that a lot of late... it's almost like a ready made excuse to do whatever they want.
Bloody is good though.

The main films are made up too.
Tbh, they thankfully aren't referencing it much, but it added some cool ideas and concepts that Romulus and Earth are using well imo.

Just watching the 3rd South Park... No spoilers, but what Sharon Marsh does actually did elicit that it was a clever idea by the thing she used...

F1 movie. Absurd, far fetched (putting it lightly) and pretty dulll.
I don’t know why I expected anything else tbf.
