Understanding is Albion agreed package with Wicky on coaching staff, but one coach then turned down his offer while the other was unable to get a visa. #wba

So Brexit is to blame!!!

Don’t open that can of worms.

Careful now Spandau, you'll be finding yourself on the agenda, as a candidate for some serious shoe at the next meeting of the secret group on the secret board.    Big Grin

Yes, discriminating against that well known EU member Switzerland!

Yes it is. Different owners, same old shite.

Quelle surprise! Twaddle off down to the shithole at B6.

It's a shame this issue wasn't discovered earlier in the process. I hope this isn't going to be a problem with other overseas coaches and their teams that we go for
Sounds to me like Sticky Wicky has assumed his nominated coaches would follow him without actually asking them.
For the club, part of the due diligence would be to affirm such things and, when they did, it failed, so deal off. That's good practice surely?

Or did Wicky give assurances during interview and then they backed out when actually approached (which would make our prospective new coach untrustworthy)?

All hypothetical and why I'm not giving any onion.

managers fall down at the negotiation stage so that the eventual appointee was never the first choice.

Percy has his links with the club, the story should have never have been signed off. As per usual with KKC the delivery is awful, but we shouldn't be leaking stories like this.

I said like it is. Sorry if that offends any wokies out there

In regards to Wikki. Sounds like a very good coach but no guarantee of sucess. And first choice? Of those available maybe. We move on.

Just saying... I predicted it would fall through, there may be an issue with his coaches turning down the job, or there being visa issues.

*rushes to buy lottery ticket*

Was goiing to also predict KKC would use this to bash the club but that felt too easy... Big Grin

The issue appears to be that Raphael Wicky was unable to assemble the backroom staff he wanted.

This was not because of any financial concerns from Albion’s end. I understand #WBA were fully behind him and the 2 staff he wanted but it’s not worked out, so the search moves on.

Looks like it was beyond our control, maybe they didnt want to relocate?

If that is true (no reason to doubt) then not the club's fault.

It still should not have been leaked though. New Manager will always be "2nd choice".
So is that an apology or acknowledging that you posted shit ...again? Should be both.
