The big meanies picking on the loveable misunderstood sausage.
Oh don't get me wrong Derek, Trump is an absolute fucking nutjob and the world should be worried about what he will do. My comment was merely that Trump sometimes very rarely I may add, states his direct opinion without going into "Trump mode" and often comes out with agreeable and plausible statements. I'd love to hear an agreeable and/or plausible statement coming from that odious creature. Please enlighten me.
I've bolded it above for you.
Edit: I'll make it easier for you. In American/American politics speak, Trump just said Biden has effectively handed the Ruplicans the election - if Biden would have kept running, it would have been much harder for Trump to win. In very general terms.
Thank you so much for making it easy for me to understand.
I'm a betting man and on Betfair, Biden was out to 5/1 about winning the election at one stage last week.
Kamala Harris is just over 2/1 now.
After Biden's performance in the presidential debate, it was fairly certain that Trump would get in. Now it is still probable , but by no means certain. Now I'll make it easy for you. Whatever Trump says, just believe the total opposite and you won't go far wrong.

I genuinely can't tell if your enthusiasm for Harris is pure cope or you actually think she's a decent candidate who won't get annihilated at the ballot box.
Worcs was claiming that any criticism of Biden's neurological state was anti-Trump propaganda right up until the point he stood down, so I would say the former.
I don't actually know what "pure cope" means, although I imagine it's something to do with being disingenuous or fantastical. If so, I haven't been either at any point. I maintain that Biden's mental faculties are miles better than Trump's. I also believe that Kamala is greatly superior to Trump and that there are many Americans who wouldn't support Biden because they thought he was too old who will rally round her. The signs are clearly there:
- $81m raised in the first 24 hours - the largest ever by a presidential candidate over that time period (it's now over $110m). This adds to the Democrats' existing coffers of more than £250m
- 888,000 of those donors are grass root donors, 60% of whom have donated for the first time during this election cycle
- In a little over a day, she's already been endorsed by 83% of Democrat congresspeople and 82% of Democrat senators (see here if you don't believe me)
As for the video that Jacko posted, I don't know to what extent the the things Tulsi Gabbard was referring to was true (although the audience, however it was comprised, seemed to). What I do know is that, 4 years on, Gabbard is now a far-right loon who worships Trump - see this article.
I would have expected more people here would be keen to see the back of Trump and would be stressing his many faults, rather than constantly seeking to pick holes in the Democrats and posts made in support of their efforts to defeat Trump.

That would have been written by an advisor for Trump to repeat.
Indeed. Left to his own devices you get anecdotes about wind turbines causing cancer, Hannibal Lecter inviting you to dinner, electric engines not working when its cloudy, whether or not it's better to be electrocuted on a sinking battery-powered boat or eaten by sharks and so on. Stable genius...

Cope - coping mechanism. The Trump camp are starting to call 'foul' because they've spent lots of time and money portraying their opponent as an old man, gradually becoming more senile. Now their candidate is looking like, well, an old man, gradually becoming more senile.

Fundamentally too early to say how this election will be framed or pan out, hence the commentatorati are pissing on the hot sauna stones and declaring the steam as wisdom.
