Grady vs Mikey

You have to stop judging him on the player you want him to be and accept him for the player he now is.

He was off it a bit last night, with a few really bad touches, but he is playing to regain match sharpness after AFCON. Under CC he is asked to takes balls in tight areas and be progressive, and on the whole he does a decent job. And if he is scoring goals whilst a bit off it, let's see what impact he can have on the run in. .

Does he look a happy footballer? No. He doesnt express positive emotions on the pitch. Don't know why, but I imagine him to be pretty cheerful behind closed doors.

Does the manager like and trust him to do a job? Yes. I dont think CC is seeing this as a problem. That'll do for me

MJ on the other hand looks like he's having a great time....he moves with the ball at real pace and if cutting in from the left, beating three men and bending the ball into the corner is his one trick.....i'll'll take it all day long.

Also a mention for our home grown winger. I said to my lad that his stepover trick really shouldnt work, but they know it's coming and still can't stop the cross.

MJ was ecstatic, congratulated by teammates and seemed very happy.

Grady not so, he just did not seem happy at all.

For anybody that stayed after the final whistle, did Grady do the fist pump thing at the SME?

Have a look and see what you think...

On the subject of people still being there at the end
Why bother going if your going to leave early especially
When a game is so finally balanced.
And yes Grady did do his thing at the end.

Every little thing seems to be being analysed about them, yet we'd have been worse off without either's contribution.

I guess their price tags are why?

Grady annoys at times, but has scored more than Grant this season. He is worth 10 Grant's, and we still over-paid for him.

I watched the game and the highlights a few times over cant see what people are on about with Grady he was one of the first to congratulate magic mikey and looked genuinely pleased ,as for his goal again cant see the problem think it was more of a case of thanks lads but lets not go over the top we still have a game to win ,is how saw it. Fwiw i thought he had a very good game last night proper cenre forward type finish ,him along with along with Fellows and Johnson where the reason Cov defendrs panicked every time one of the got the ball as all three tried to get us forward and make things happen.

Grady is excellent when a few players are near him. Similar in vein to okay in his ability to drag people and play the ball. An important a skill as trickery on the wing.

Considerate comments Hughie......

I go because I love the club and I enjoy seeing/talking to those that stand around me.  It would have been easier to stay and watch at home/in the pub, but I prefer to go to the game. Leaving early on Friday was all about public transport issues......going when I did allowed me to get home at 11.30pm....if I'd have stayed to the end I would have arrived home after 1am, and as I'm an old git this would have wiped me out the next day.

Also I feel being there for 80-85 mins (when I have to leave early) giving my support is better than not being there at all.....
