I was there too. Good set list, though I didn't enjoy it as much as usual. I thought the sound wasn't right (seemed like bass and drums was drowning out the rest - possibly as I was under the balcony?) and wherever I stood, I was near to people chattering. You could spot the fuckers there just to hear 'Sit Down' as they were all talking excitedly throughout the next song, the gentle duet 'Hello'. I literally could not hear the singing.

Was tempted by rancid but it moved venues as brixton is still closed and then never bothered.

I saw Rancid in 2002 (I think) and they were really good then.

I've got quite a broad taste in music, so I'd be interested in your opinion on Red Velvet, once you've seen them Bromley. They are pretty much viewed as Kpop royalty.

Rancid were brilliant, last night. Proper raucous punk rock.

Red Velvet were very nice to look at (I have a thing for Oriental girls), and were not too bad musically. All on backing tracks, obviously but they can sing without having to use autotune.

July's gigs are all work: Def Leppard and Motley Crue followed a week later by The Weekend, then 2 nights of Blur all at Wembley, then an Indian singer called Sid Sruman at Wembley Arena. Then finishing off with the Red Hot Chilli Peppers at Spurs stadium,

I was close to looking into last minute tickets for Rancid, have seen them a few times but always good fun.

You've got a good run of gigs there pal, try and pause Motley Crue's playback so can all hear how much is actually live these days! Wink

Saw Muse at the John Smiths in Huddersfield, very good live, Royal Blood were good as well. Decent venue but the 'rail replacement buses' were a joke, I bus to Leeds for thousands of fans? Well done guys, top work. Maiden next week!

What time do bands usually finish at the Dinglehampton Civic? Pondering whether to take the car or not.

P.S thanks for the concert reviews Bromley!

Thank you! I've just seen Sparks and they were excellent. Plenty of singers need to learn from Russell Mael. He's 75 this year and he's still got his vocal range.

Parking at car park opposite is a rip off. There are cheaper alternatives nearby
