No idea how the PC nutters are getting on with the game, but on PS5 if you have 4/8K TV and bump up the graphics mode to fidelity with Ray tracing, it quite simply is beautiful with no noticeable frame drops, flickering or lagging. Or perhaps I'm not zooming around on Broom fast enough.

Oh, and it is entirely (99% certain you can), create your avatar to look like Harry Potter and you can call him Harry if you like - and the creation mode is very good.

'fluid' used in relation to anything JK touched, careful lad, the woke Potterites will be hitting this place soon!

I might see if there's a 'download' for it, just built my new rig with a RTX 4070ti, nothing really making me feel like it was worth it so far though! PC master- no real games - race Big Grin

My game of the decade so far Elden Ring is. I beat it, but boy is it punishing. New Game+ felt great, got so far (smiting the bosses with ease) and then boom, arse served back to me on a plate! Now waiting for the DLC to drop before going back.

Wander about a bit, go at your own pace, and don't worry about following the story in a strict order.... oh and be careful when opening some of the early chests, otherwise you'll be yelling at your TV for an age whilst scurrying back to safety!

Played a little bit of the new Zelda this afternoon.

First impressions are it's basically BOTW 1.5, which is no bad thing.

Apparently as long as you delete the PS5 version save it should say do you want to import PS4 save data (think you have to have the save data from PS4 already on the PS5 though)

And instructions on deleting the saves... https://answers.ea.com/t5/Other-STAR-WAR...p/11477948

Finally realised what this meant now - not exactly the greatest explanations. They could have just said this:

Installed FO from library on PS5 to get the PS5 copy

Open FO

Close FO

Download your FO save from PS4 Cloud onto PS5 console

Go to PS5 saves on console and delete the 5mb PS5 FO save

Open FO

Got it working BTW, looks beautiful Big Grin

Completed Jedi Survivor. I loved this game. Although the last boss was frustratingly difficult to the point I had the lower the difficulty.

Sorry to tell you my 11 year old did it on second highest difficulty and said it was far too easy....

Amazed me how good kids are at these games to be honest, saud it was a good game though.

Does your kid play retro games? Just wonder because I try to pick up games from the SNES era that I hammered when I was younger and am terrible at them. Curious to know how today's kids would get on with them.

Well that's just made me feel like a bigger loser than I already do! I rarely play video games nowadays. Certainly not as much as when I was in my teens and 20's. I like to be challenged, but when you're doing the same boss over and over and getting frustrated I just lower the difficulty. I no longer have the time or patience to keep at it for hours until you master it, like I once did.

Fantastic game. If you played and enjoyed the first you'll love this one. It's far better, gameplay wise. I'm not sure the story was as strong, but I still found the story enjoyable.

We played some retro games at a friends house a while ago. He beat us all repeatedly. Kids reflexes are just so good, and their brains are wired to learn things so quickly.

A few years ago I worked in the healthcare industry buying theatre equipment. We had a team day out at a major supplier and they set up a little challenge - using the endoscopy equipment to move pieces of fruit around inside a dummy torso. You could only do it using the monitor and tools - you weren’t allowed to look down at what you were doing like a surgeon would.

I was the only one able to do it, afterwards the rep told me I had excellent hand-eye coordination and asked if I played games. He said gaming is going to produce the next generation of surgeons.

Thing is, unless you're playing them on old equipment, including the old TV, then you're not really getting like for like. Input lag and low refresh rates and all that jazz added to making the old games a lot harder.
