Master race my arse.

It's more frustrating there's little reason for it to be a janky mess.

There is no excuse for a game released in 2023 to use only 4 CPU threads.

Indeed.

Also, the engine is designed for all consoles and PC, they make the fucking thing on PC's ffs!

It's because they throttle PC performance so poor console users don't feel cheated. They chose to be subpar console boys, they should accept PC's will run things better if properly set up, that's why there's such a price and knowledge difference between PC and consoles. Instead, PC gets throttled and destroyed.

Without wanting to point out the bleeding obvious, without consoles there's be very few games. Consoles account for more sales than even mid range pc sales do. Hence why they build for consoles and then worry about Jeff in Accrington who spunked £2k on a stupidly over powered graphics card to play Minecraft on. Not about making console owners feel cheated.

Not sure, but i think the gtx 1060 is still one of the top cards on Steam... They have to account for that more than worrying about the consoles. Blame the PC substandard wannabe master race for pc issues.

That's not how it works.

You're right consoles are important, I play consoles too, and I don't really subscribe to arguing about what's better either way, play mobile games and call yourself a gamer and I'm happy for you.

However they do code in throttles for PC's in order to stop PC's giving better performance than consoles because console players in the past moaned about that happening. These are what often cause the issues when porting, I know because I have friends doing this work in the industry.

Reviews of the new Fallen Order have been positive, sure the patch/patches will sort out gameplay issues

I've got a two week window to finish it before the new Zelda comes out.

I caved in and paid £62 for Jedi Survivor (an absolute joke of a price, but it is what it is).

Bugger me, it's good. You get to play as a Jedi, wielding duel lightsabres and have some fun force abilities, it can't not be good.

New Zelda tomorrow…

Got a £50 voucher from Amazon recently so it’s only costing me 2 quid…

Hogwarts update, fook me the game is huge and lord knows how many hours I've clocked in on it. I suppose if I'd have concentrated on just story mode I'd have finished the main quest by now, however I've been wandering about and probably down about 50%.

One minor gear grind it the flipping of spells mid battle or boss fight, it gets a bit fiddly and you may as well have written down where your appropriate spells are on a piece of paper prior to getting your arse kicked.

My Broom flying has vastly improved now its switched to plane flying controls.

For those that like open world story's and your not too bothered about Harry Potter being nowhere near the game, since it's Hogwarts - then it is well worth investing in.

It’s on my “give it a year then pick it up for buttons” list.

Fair play Duffers. The recent update was pretty fluid as well and allegedly took out some bugs (that I never noticed) and inserted an Arachnophobia mode, whereby spiders don't look like spiders and have cute little boots, but there are literally shit loads of spiders everywhere - which on brief ponderous check, makes it look, interesting. Wink

No idea how the PC nutters are getting on with the game, but on PS5 if you have 4/8K TV and bump up the graphics mode to fidelity with Ray tracing, it quite simply is beautiful with no noticeable frame drops, flickering or lagging. Or perhaps I'm not zooming around on Broom fast enough.

Oh, and it is entirely (99% certain you can), create your avatar to look like Harry Potter and you can call him Harry if you like - and the creation mode is very good.

I been playing Elden Ring, christ this game is hard. Being open world as well it's difficult to know where to start.
