That's the one thing I've noticed since I began running. My appetite has gone through the roof. I've not exactly reached big mileage, yet!

I didn't go running last week as I picked up a knock during football. I'm getting on a bit now, and it takes longer to recover from strains and pulls! Plus, I'm lazy.

Football is a completely different animal. The amount of stop-starting your legs do, particularly when you're a lumbering centre back like I was, trying to chase someone who can sprint is what makes you unable to walk the next day. Well that and being kicked Big Grin

Hope so. I've not been anywhere since last Monday so hopefully I've caught it late and am on the back end of it. Would be a real pisser as I was intending on using it as a sighter for my marathon block that's coming later in the year.

Thus far I'm still positive but not effecting me too badly. Been able to get out running early before the rest of the world is up. Nothing on my chest whatsoever. Just waiting on a negative test so I can make my own mind up on whether a HM on Sunday is a wise thing to do or not.

Got a five miler in over lunch around the Thames.

Absolutely glorious day for it.

Been out of action thanks to the kids giving everyone in the house a virus. Will be back out later in the week hopefully.

Had a few weeks with not much training but managed to get a couple of runs going over the past few days, got just beyond 3k 1st time and got to 4.5k last night before my eyes sent the message to my legs that there was an incline too finish off on, and my legs sent the message back that you can all fuck off.

Went out today as this is first day I can breathe through my nose again and took it easy, still managed 25:34 5km so happy with that. Will give it another week or so before I do another 10 km though. Have been looking into possible 20km routes, targeting June but will see how I get on.

Good stuff Midge. I'm fully free of Covid now and have taken it easy for the past fortnight despite having no symptoms, can never be too careful. Just jogging for the remainder of this week before introducing some sessions again from next week.

Marathon training once again sneaking up on me.

20k is getting close to half marathon distance so go for it!

It certainly is warm today, I need to start getting the motivation to do my runs early in the morning as I'll be next to useless doing any distance come summer.
