Got a 6 miler in over lunch which I’m relatively happy with.

Don’t use, and never have used, Strava which is why’ve haven’t joined the group.

Nice work. I try and save anything that long for a weekend now, starting to get used to 2 x 5k in the week and 1 x 10k at the weekend.

I don't think I could run without Strava, knowing my "stats" and trying to do better than last time is my main motivation.

Currently balancing testing positive for Covid yesterday with a half marathon on Sunday.

At present I'm fine and have no symptoms so will still get out for some easy jogging. Providing I've tested negative prior to next Sunday I should be good to go.

Fingers crossed for you pal, few friends have all had it recently and anywhere from 5-10 days to get a negative test seems normal. Hopefully it's the former.

I'm back running again after having recovered from a calf injury & covid, so will join the Strava group when I get a moment.

I too was unsuccessful with the London Marathon ballot, which probably isn't a bad thing! Not sure I'd have managed it, however, Eddie Izzard has shown what's possible! Can he do it in high heels though?

Hope so. I've not been anywhere since last Monday so hopefully I've caught it late and am on the back end of it. Would be a real pisser as I was intending on using it as a sighter for my marathon block that's coming later in the year.

Something I hadn't prepared myself for was the intense hunger a day after a 10k, literally cannot stop eating today. Can only imagine what doing a half or full marathon must do to you!

I've not had a proper run for a couple of weeks. I've been logging my 5-a-side running on Strava. Not sure that's what the app is for, but I'm intrigued at how little I run during football!

I didn't go running last week as I picked up a knock during football. I'm getting on a bit now, and it takes longer to recover from strains and pulls! Plus, I'm lazy.

I always end up having a massive Domino’s after a half or full marathon.

Anyone running those distances has more than earned it! Trying to eat the right stuff before and after but obviously am not eating enough!
