Caught up on

Better Call Saul -  Probably better than Breaking Bad.
Agree. Great character.

Breaking Bad -  A TV masterpiece.    The wheelchair explosion was TV history.
Loved it much not as much as the above

Life on Mars    -  a bit cliched but I live with a Manc who worked in that area at the time  and she understandably loves it.

Designated Survivor - bearing in mind the assault on the Capitol, it has considerable relevance.  But a bit cheesy.  Using  " The American People"  as a reason to expedite a certain chain of action is a piss poor rationale given their average IQ of 10.

House of Cards USA - makes Trump look normal.  Was brilliant until Kevin Spacey got caught kiddy fiddling.

Grey's Anatomy - complete drivel, Total utter shit.

Madame Secretary - excellent but ran out of ideas towards the end.  Taught me a lot about the USA constitution which has proven to be useful over the past few weeks.

Shitt's Creek  - a thin plot with limited potential.  Gave up after five episodes.  It's the 21st century's version of the Dick Van Dyke show or Beverly Hillbillies.
I think it takes more time. Probably enjoyed it more as I watched most of the episodes with my daughter and we had a few laughs together with it.

The Wire - still watching it but the repetition of the characters' flaws is getting tiresome.    I'm up to where Stringer tells his boss that he had his nephew murdered in jail and drug dealing has been re-located to one area of Philadelphia.  Very funny seeing their amazement that a phone could send texts.

Currently watching

Virgin River -  lightweight soppy USA love story interest in a stunning area of northern California.  The scenery is breath taking.  Small town America with everyone knowing everyone's business, but has some relevance with PTSD for the vets which is a very real issue for the vets and their families.
The scenery takes centre stage. Filmed in the Vancouver area and looks breath-taking. Follows many US themes of a stunning landscape and hospitality to match but with small town psychosis and its undercurrent.

The Mallorac Files - BBC afternoon TV  detective series.  Not a great plot or great acting but I love Majorca and have plans to live there so it is a good travel guide.  This series has gone global and viral and every other al that you can think of including Japan.

Latest, and final, season of Vikings. Brilliant, after a few ‘meh’ seasons.

Started that before Christmas and enjoyed the first few.

I'll get back into it.

Anyone recommend Black Sails?

Out of those I've only seen Breaking Bad, one Season of BCS and Three of The Wire.

I enjoyed Breaking Bad, couldn't get into Better Call Saul and enjoyed the first two seasons of The Wire and got bored to death after watching the third season.

I, much to the disgust of people I know, have never watched The Sopranos.

Anyone recommend Black Sails?

The first 3 or 4 seasons of Vikings are immense. Then it dramatically goes down hill when a certain character leaves. But this last season hits the heights of the early seasons.

Black Sails is crap. Got through series 1 but couldn’t take any more. Was recommended to me by Prime once I’d watched Vikings actually, that’s how I got on it.

Ozark season 4 coming soon. Looking forward to that.

Sons of Anarchy still the best series about.

Good call on Ozark - brilliant. Acting is so, so good. Particularly the husband and wife. Particularly the wife I thought who goes from weak to a nasty bitch.

Never watched any of SoA. Biker gangs, not sure it's my thing.

Notwithstanding the opening post wot I wrote,  The Sopranos is still the best drama ever.

I forgot to mention Ozark, which started with a scene of unbelievable violence.  The mix of  violence and black comedy is brilliant.

Later episodes had moments of real humour, such as where the hillbillies bought two polecats of the same sex to breed.

As a David Bowie fan,  the scene where one of the hillbillies plays "Man Who Sold the World " on his acoustic guitar  with the ghost of his murdered father is heart breaking.

I also recently watched "The Undoing"  with Hugh Grant and Nicole Kidman,  which was pretty good and a real Who Dunnit?
