Think I must have been at a different game. I thought Field was average at best; I mean that's unless you think taking the back off the centre half and giving it back to the other one is world class. Gave the ball away and made little difference to the opposition yet again getting straight at the heart of our defence with little bother. Townsend first half was woefully unsupported by Edwards and Field and we were a little lucky to ride our luck. Mears was obviously told not to venture past the halfway line and Hoolihan was the best player on the pitch for us apart from.Bond who had a solid game- although never really troubled..

Kanu was absolutely garbage - captain shit. Adaraboyiou was excellent as was Bartley . Harper Edwards and Leko all lively but their lack of composure in the last 18 yards was palpable, you could feel them trying so hard that it hindered them .

The boy Tulloch looked good when he came on too. All in all a decent result

Field did much more than that, IMO, certainly second half. Covered for Townsend quite a lot when he pushed up to support the attack. Made more tackles than I can remember him doing in years gone by. Field's best performance in over 12 months.

Was gonna say - I know I had a lot of beer before the game but I think  Sam played very well in the 2nd half! The more sober looking supporters around me agreed...Anyways it will be a tricky replay but think we could nick it with either Gayle or Rodriguez up top
