If he's only bothered by a nice game of football, then seeing goals will make it nicer, shame they'll be against us...
Towards the end of my dad's days, he was just happy to be at a game, even when were shit, and he was the fugger who made me an Albion fan (and he got 54 and 68, and the 3 degrees.... I got Saunders and Gould!)

Really great to read the various posts of time spent watching the Albion with loved ones.
A great reminder that the football on the pitch is one thing but actually the club represents something much bigger than that. It's place where people come together and cherished memories are made. It unites, strengthening bonds between families and friends which will outlast whatever is served up on the pitch. That probably doesn't capture it fully but I'll certainly have a look around at Stoke with this in the back of my mind. <cheers to all Baggies, both past and present> |
