No one is forcing fans to attend. Go, or don't. Your choice.

I do agree noon/evening games should be safeguarded against long distance travelling to avoid situations like this. It is ridiculous.

But no one is forced to attend. It's nothing new. And doubtless the anorak hardcore fans see it more of a badge of honour rather than a chore. I know some of the regular Baggies travel fans would do so. And they'd use it as a stick to beat someone with when they don't share their opinion. 'Your opinion is not valid because you didn't get up at 2am to go to Sunderland away'.

Did you see in yesterdays news about Hargland & 35 year deal at Man city
Supposed to be on 500K a week

Yet only few weeks ago a hospice had given notice to staff as were running out of cash

It probably only inconvenienced about 17 people, knowing Bournemouth’s usual ‘massive’ away following. And 4 or 5 of those would be plastic Chelsea/Arsenal/Liverpool fans
