I’m at Wast Hills weekly.

We’ve won 8 on the bounce. 1 goal conceded in the last 6. 70-80% possession instead of 30 odd percent under Eustace. 2.4 points average per game. It’s night and day. When you weren’t scoring at home early in the season, it’s like someone saying they preferred Bruce over Corberan.
I’ll trust my eyes and optimism. And the size of the crowds were getting now compared to villa John’s days

Schumacher: inherited Lowe’s team at Plymouth and kept the momentum going. Flopped at Stoke where he didn’t inherit a team. Big no from me.

My thoughts on Schumacher too, really hope we don’t go there .

Unfair on Schumacher, he rebuilt the Plymouth side and made then a much stronger side than Lowe’s side. They went backwards when Lowe went but Schumacher rebuilt and made then a much better side

Fair play. Lots of issues off the field with the under 18’s last season. I do know that

The under 18s won the lot last year, as I’m sure you know. The problem lies with the 21s and the slump they’re in. Most are calling it a lack of motivation, owing to the fact that CD has blocked any chance of them stepping up to the first team. Again this points to his ‘must win promotion at all costs’.

Anyway, again, this is probably the wrong place and time for that discussion.

Indeed.

I'd take Schumacher

Jesus Wept, fair play and each to their own, and everyone's entitled to their opinion and all that. But fuck no to Steven Schumacher. Fuck No.

Absolute bollocks, like most of the stuff he posts not related to player medicals.

He’s correct that there has been a conversation. Saying he has turned us down isn’t really an accurate summary.

Zzz

Would be an immediate loss of faith in Nestor if he's entertained Martin, luckily I give your info about the same credence as Doods.

If I had your recent ITK record, I think I’d probably keep my head down and thoughts to myself. Fair play for keeping plodding on though.

There will be others on here that know the above to be true, similar to the Schumacher situation.

Getting tetchy about that is pretty purile

He is ITK.  It's going to be Keir Starmer.

The 18’s had a great season on the pitch but I said the issues were off field. Disciplinary issues that I won’t state on here but that you’d be aware of.
As for the 21’s this year they’re miles off being ready for first team football and that’s not on Davies. The squad is deep and on Boxing Day we had Lee Buchanan and Jutkiewicz and a young Japan Mede winger not even making the squad. Scott Wright who came from Rangers, Sampsted an Icelandic International on loan both injured. But Brandon Khela has got minutes who came through the Academy and Alfie Chang returning from injury. Some of the better under 21’s are out on loan but not doing a lot at National League level. If the rest are lacking motivation that’s on them and getting beat heavily won’t help their careers. Jude and Jobe Bellingham, Jordan James have shown you’ll get a chance if you’re good enough.
The same as Fellows, Palmer, Gardner Hickman recently at Albion, when people mention Griffiths, Cleary, Faal, Caleb Taylor etc

RE: The managerial shortlist - Lightnin - 12-29-2024

Heitinga isn’t the only Dutchman on the list. What I’d say is that we’ve had this list for a while and the process is further ahead than what is in the press or on social media. As we get nearer an appointment they’ll catch up but at the moment a few days behind.
