I can't be the only person who hates this phrase. Like really, whenever I hear commentators say it or fans say it, I immediately disregard anything they say as nonsense, it's a phrase with nothing to do with football and doesn't even make sense in any context of football.

I just think the way a chunk of our fanbase acts like Vietnam veterans with PTSD over the Pulis era needs to end. Likewise preferring a 3 - 4 win than a 1 - 0. Both the managers we've got in recent times when fans were wanting "front foot football" were bloody awful and in the case of Bruce, given a ludicrously soft time by fans.

The irony. You said Corberan's football was tedious. I personally think Eustace would be a steady appointment but I can see many on here turning on him in 6 weeks when they see us not going all Ossie Ardiles.

Eustace is a good fit: strong coach whose teams are well organised and achieve more than the sum of their parts. However, his teams are very pragmatic and the Blackburn fan I work with is not a fan at all. Doesn’t bother me but those who thought Carlos’ team was too negative won’t be keen.

Schumacher: inherited Lowe’s team at Plymouth and kept the momentum going. Flopped at Stoke where he didn’t inherit a team. Big no from me.
