RE: UK Covid death toll - baggiebuckster - 11-20-2020 I only presented the figures. Give them the vaccine you said the other day. RE: UK Covid death toll - baggy1 - 11-20-2020 And until then? Or those that live with them, care for them and shop alongside them etc. Not to mention those that are disabled. Tbf as we now know from the boards leading public health expert, virologist, statistician and sociologist all of those mentioned above hibernate during the winter months because Covid 19 is just the same as the flu. It's a common feature of the worst affected. An incentive to lose weight if nothing else. I suppose the thing is how many underlying conditions do the clinically obese admissions have? Society cannot be compartmentalised we are to quote Call Me Dave ‘all in this together’ and people of all ages are interconnected. Until you accept that very basic premise there is no point discussing the issue. As for the under 60s being locked up, that is just ott rhetoric. Kids are at school, millions of people are still working, many shops are still open and until a few weeks ago you could to the pub, restaurant gym etc. There are sectors that have been hit hard no doubt and they need support but the idea we are all locked up is nonsense. I know it is (been reported for months) it’s also affects men more than women but given 35% of the U.K. population is classed as overweight I don’t think it’s a helpful stat in regards to providing proof we should go back to normal. |
