Dopesick on Disney. Just frickin shocking. Shows the US drug market (although slightly embellished) and marketing & sales for what they are. Based upon a book by Beth Macy of the same name. Seriously, give it watch. Oh and Michael Keaton is in it.

Theroux did one of his documentaries (back in the old days, before all he bothers with is celebs) and was on about the opioid crisis in USA, and how Drs were encouraged to give stuff out for even minor ailments and suchlike, sounds like that?

Yes I suppose similar as it touches on that. But moreover it's about how Big Pharma pushed the opioid knowing they were an addictive narcotic, and circumventing / frauding their ways around to push the opiods in the US. Its a dramatisation of course, however shocking at the lengths Big Pharma will go to to sell their product - if one can imagine the writer has back ground knowledge of the practices.

The Pharmacist on Netflix was an excellent true story piece on this. Shocking what went on in the US drug industry.
