Great first 20 mins faded badly towards the end of the 1st half. 15 mins into the 2nd half he was shot.

He’s always faded towards the end of the 2nd half but recently he’s been knackered very early on.

Don’t think it’s a lack of trying just his body gives up at some point which is now happening earlier and earlier in matches.

Does he he’s a few weeks off?

Much improved on the last couple of games thankfully, as anything reminiscent of the Barnsley and Boro no shows would have seen us well and truly beaten.

Our passing still lacks the crispness we had earlier in the season, and Sawyers’lack off form coupled with our one dimensional play through Periera due to Diangana being injured is really noticeable. Grady is so often our out ball to change defence into attack quickly and the sooner he’s back, the sooner I think both Periera and Sawyers will contribute again.

Johnstone - 7 - couple hairy moments, and one good save.

Furlong - 7 - steady, better defensively today, coped well with their wingbacks
Bartley - 8 - a beast, lost count of how many headers he won
Ajayi - 7.5 - far better alongside Bartley
Gibbs - 6 - unlucky to go off injured
Townsend - 6.5 - not sure why he’s become the Brummie road boo-boy. He’s capable backup and that’s it.

Sawyers 6.5 - struggled against their midfield - Phillips was excellent in their engine room
Livermore - 8.5 - captains performance, no idea where his energy has suddenly come from!

Periera - 8 - tenacious but doubled up on again, we need Diangana back in
Krovinovic - 6.5 - better out wide than through the middle, but so slow and lightweight
Phillips - 7 - better performance than recent games, should have buried his chance on HT

HRK - 6 - lacked service, but won a couple of good free kicks, typically battling performance up top

Edwards - 7 bright cameo, was exactly the direct threat we needed... one excellent save from winning the game
Zohore - 5 no time

Slav - 7 - injected some energy into them after a couple dire performances. Made sensible subs, could understand Zohore instead of Austin as Leeds were already pushing forward. Hampered by the early Gibbs injury when we could really have done with 3 subs late on.

Was very impressed with how Leeds moved the ball, how well they understood their roles in the system, and how they wore us down.

Calling out 'away' fans in home areas...

So today, just after we scored the bloke next to me and a guy in front of him starts yelling at a guy further up the stand. This went on for several minutes (with the shouters blocking my view). They claimed that the guy was a Leeds fan. My view as I said to them, he's not doing anything, leave him be. They were having none of it and reported it to a steward (who came over to try and calm them down)...So the stewards cart this bloke out, and a few minutes later the steward comes back and says 'he's Albion'.

The guy through all this had done nothing, no standing up, no shouting off or anything. So fair play to him, but if I were him I'd have been mightily pee'd off at getting taken out etc... Why can't people just leave others alone?

Of course then there was the Leeds fan in the Halfords who celebrated and started gesturing etc... just after they scored, so for me that's fair enough and the stewards dealt with it.

What do you think? Someone not causing any grief or anything, leave them alone no matter who they support, or would you feel the urge to call them out?

If he keeps this up I’m going to have to admit I was wrong about Watford being doomed.

Decent game, our tactics were right, let Leeds have some possession but look to break with pace and intensity when we could
6 shots on target to their 2 says we deserved it but they had more of the ball, which is just how they play
Good to see us better tonight, I’d rest most of them for the weekend and work on Gibbs getting for for Stoke at home, Townsend should be able to do a job against Charlton in the league

SJ 7 some iffy kicking but good save in 2nd half, seemed slightly better against crosses.....slightly

Furlong 7 Some great back post defensive headers in the first half, tried to get forward when he could, Solid display overall

Gibbs 6 Such a shame that bloody hamstring went again, need him fit

Semi 8 Off day v Boro quickly put to bed, read the game well, brought the ball out of defense and dominant in the air, unlucky  with OG

Bartley 8* Big call to bring him back but was immense for me tonight

Sawyers 7 Better for the rest, passing more incisive tonight which isn’t easy against Leeds press

Livermore 6 Been superb all season but struggled against Leeds midfield tonight, worked tirelessly but passing was sloppy

Krovinovic 6 Understood the reason he started wide and to give support to Leeds attacks down the right, worked hard but always seems a little slow when on the ball, despite being a technically good footballer

Pereira 7 Sublime touch and movement as always, unlucky with free kick and lovely set up for Edwards chance late on

Phillips 7 Better tonight, worked hard but that chance to make it 2-0 was huge given the context of the game

HRK 7 Excellent hold up play and close control as good as we’ve seen, playing out of his skin this season but feel we need more options

Townsend 7 Did well, played his way out of some tight situations, alas no ability to overlap or put crosses into the box, should start the next 2 but we need Gibbs fit

Edwards 7 Much more direct tonight which was good to see, exactly what we need from him, unlucky with chance to win it

Zahore 7 Glad he got a run out, would have been longer you feel but SJ was carrying a knock and Bond almost came on. For me I’d always have 2 strikers on the bench, he’s different to Austin and tonight suited him more, showed good pace and strength on a couple of occasions, there is a player in there somewhere

Great position to be in going into the new year, interesting January ahead I’m sure, a bit of tweaking should set us up nicely for the 2nd half of the season

I’d completely forgotten, until it was mentioned in commentary earlier, that he has now signed for Derby.

Something tells me all parties were anticipating them being a lot closer to the top before Wayne joined for a big promotion push.

Be interesting to see if he can make much of a difference.

Those who saw it on the box, should it have been a pen when sawyers (I think) was hauled down? Or their shout for handball?
