We wanted and expected some improvement under such an experienced coaches rather than any expected miracles.
What we cannot expect is SA making us markedly worse with the defending so poor it’s off the scale.

The point is we have shown we can't park the bus and grind results out. We showed some ambition against Wolves and won, second half against Liverpool and got a draw. Fulham second half. These negative tactics don't suit this side and it's killing us.
Yes the squad is poor and the players aren't good enough. But the way we're playing means we're sinking faster. Bizarre tactics and team selections.
If you don't have an outlet up front & your plan is to play "on the break" when your midfield and defence are not strong enough... this is what happens.
The first half of last season we went for it. Played on the front foot. Ever since Lockdown.. no. Slaven got that wrong for 6 months. Now Sam is doing the same. We do have players who can win games, if we let them play and go forward. We'd get battered at times too. But we'd win games.
But this way? All we can do is lose. Week in and week out.

The only difference from the first half is that Spurs have finished their chances. Our defenders positioning and awareness is terrible. Picking Sawyers again and expecting anything other than him costing us goals is bemusing
