Effort can't be questioned.  Just kack quality on the ball and ability to win physical battles

The physical element is what I find most confusing. Many of our players lose their battles on strength alone.

That's what the big money buys.  Technical ability (Which Sawyers has) but also speed and physicality.

Also an ability to foul without the referee thinking  it is

We are working hard and have a threat going forward.

Given the players available to both clubs what are people expecting..

Special mention for Grant , really big shift he put in that half.

This is a match thread, and we are commenting on the play.  Working hard, look better as a unit, occasional threat but lacking quality and physicality and could have been three down on half hour.   Whether or not they have better players is irrelevant!
Spurs are low on confidence and in terrible form too.

The fact is we need wins. I hope Sam is not going to be happy with a 0-0.

The point is though going toe to toe with Spurs with Song and Kane up front is the way to beat them?
Apparently Spurs have gone 4.5 hours without a goal. That means they last scored around half eight this morning.

Either way another great save from SJ.
Think we will win this, 0-0. A Pulis v Clown result.

This is a match thread and I am commenting on play.  Improved as a unit but lacking quality and physicality.   Lots of effort but could have easily been three down on the half hour.  Better last ten minutes.Who has the better players is irrelevant here.

Oh he doesn’t restrict himself to just during matches...

Haha absolute rubbish I've posted twice during 45 mins

One praising the midfield another questioning Townsend's distribution which when you look at the stats I'm spot on

Just wait!!
Fair enough if you’re happy with the performance. We’ve worked harder that normal, but those saying brilliant/heroic defending is just as OTT as those criticising. We’re fortunate to be level
